Early Bird**

Early Bird Conference Registrations close: 30 June 2008. To qualify for the Early Bird discount, online registration must be received before this date and be accompanied by credit card details, and is only available when applying as a TIA Member, Non Member or Student. Credit card is the only payment method available for Early Bird registration.

Carbon Neutral

The Tourism Industry Conference 2008 is carbon neutral. As part of your attendance fee you will contribute to offsetting some of the emissions produced by holding the Conference. This includes emissions associated with delegate travel and electricity and catering at the venue.

PLEASE NOTE

  • All prices outlined are exclusive of GST (plus 12.5% Goods and Services Tax)
  • Your registration is not complete or valid unless accompanied by full payment. A tax invoice/receipt will be sent with your confirmation letter.
  • The conference fee includes all catering and conference materials as outlined in your registration. On arrival at the Conference registration desk you will receive your conference materials.
  • To qualify for the early bird registration investment your registration form must include credit card details and must be received by The Tourism Industry Association no later than 30 June 2008.
  • Cancellations must be made in writing. A full refund will be made if received in writing before 5.00pm 14 July 2008
  • There will be no refunds after 14 July, however the registration may be transferred to another pre-notified delegate at no charge.
  • Applications are subject to availability.
  • The actual attendee's company must be a TIA member (paid) to secure the membership discount, however the individual does not need to be a card holder.

Conference Terms and Conditions

Limitation of liability for Tourism Industry Conference attendance
As an event participant you and your organisation agree to hold TIA and its agents free of liability during the days of the events. No arrangements other than those contained herein shall be binding upon the parties unless requests are made and confirmed in writing. Registration is on a first come, first served basis and submission of the electronic registration form shall serve as an agreement to these conditions having been read and understood.

Cancellation and refund details
Where delegates cannot attend the event, a substitute delegate is welcome to attend at no additional cost. Alternatively, a full refund will apply to all cancellations received in writing before 14 July 2008. Should you cancel after this date, you may send a pre-notified substitute delegate, however no refund will be made.

All cancellations must be made in writing (letter, fax or email), and will be acknowledged within 48 hours. The cancellation is valid only when this acknowledgement is received.

Privacy Act
The Privacy Act (NZ) 1993 provides that before your name and address details can be published in the list of delegates either for distribution to fellow delegates or any other party, you must give your consent. It is TIA policy that only event attendees will be given this information and submission of the electronic registration serves as agreement to delegate distribution.

Tourism Industry Awards

The Tourism Industry Awards recognise and celebrate excellence in the tourism industry. The award winners will be announced at a black tie dinner on the Tuesday night of conference 5 August at The Tourism Industry Awards Celebration Gala. This evening will feature fabulous New Zealand wine, cuisine and entertainment.

Tickets are available to purchase, $195 + GST for full TIA members and $215 + GST for non-members and TIA affiliate Members. Tickets can be purchased as part of your registration, if you would like to attend this function separately click here.

Entertainment tax

This conference runs for four or more hours (excluding meal breaks) and is therefore excluded from the Entertainment Tax Regime.

Dress code

The dress code for the conference and associated functions is business attire. Formal attire is recommended for the Tourism Industry Awards Celebration Dinner.
